Best Times
to Visit the Deer & Turkey Spectacular?
It depends on your priorities.
Talk to exhibitors the easiest and longest?
- Friday is best, because attendance is lightest that day. There won’t be any crowding, so you will have a better chance to talk with more exhibitors and talk longer with each one, examine new products in more depth, etc.
- Sunday is your second-best choice, because it has a middling attendance and no crowding.
- On the other hand, Saturday has the most hours. But it also has the highest attendance, by far.
Hear the most seminars?
1st -- Saturday Most hours; most seminars 2nd -- Sunday Second-highest number of seminars 3rd -- Friday Fewest seminars
See the most deer in the trophy contest & display?
1st -- Sunday Entries from Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
Remember, however, that trophy contest entries are released at 3:00 p.m.2nd -- Saturday Entries from Friday and Saturday. The later in the day you attend, the more trophies you’ll see. 3rd -- Friday Usually 30%-35% of all entries come in on Friday, so you’ll see a great display, especially if you stay late enough until all entries have been scored and placed on display boards.
Least crowding?
1st -- Friday Friday, simply because that day sees the lowest attendance. 2nd -- Sunday Sunday, because that’s the mid-range attendance. 3rd -- Saturday Saturday, because that’s the highest attendance, by quite a bit. On an hourly basis in any given day, crowding is least, or non-existent, early in the day and late in the day. Mid-day always is most crowded, no matter what day it is. This is to be expected, for it covers standard travel times.
See Byron Ferguson, Archery Trick Shot?
- Saturday or Sunday only. He performs twice Saturday and twice
Sunday.
Check the seminar schedule for exact times.
To get the most from each expo, especially the larger ones, you’ll need two days. It is impossible to see, hear and do it all in one day.
